Mother: Faith Stephenson.
Prior to the
Macquarie era the following children were born to Robert and Ellen.
Ann born c1799 in England.
Faith born in c1800 in England.
Hannah born in c1804 in England.
Robert arrived at Port Jackson with his wife and children as a
member of the 73rd Regiment, two years later because of his age or
physical condition; he was transferred to the Veteran’s Company and
stationed at Parramatta. He was moved to Windsor where he became the
sexton at St Mathew’s Windsor, he was also a Sunday school teacher. The
Veteran Company was disbanded in 1823 and Robert was discharged, he
became a teacher at the Field of Mars School. He later returned to his
position of sexton at St Mathew’s. Later he taught his trade at the
Male Orphan School and served as sexton at St Luke’s Liverpool.
married Ellen in England, and all of his children were born in England.
